Please Read before you download

This is a On-premise Install Only!     for Cloud SaaS click hereThis is Enterprise Class software. You only need to install it on a single machine that will act as the host. ./ is installed as a service. There is no app you click to login. You use a browser to interact with the ./ service/software on the host computer. All your data will reside on the host computer regardless if you access ./ locally or remotely. Although you will be using a browser you are NOT going over the internet when connecting locally.

WE DO NOT SUGGEST THAT YOU INSTALLTHIS SOFTWARE ONTO A LAPTOP SINCE YOUR DATA WILL RESIDE ON THE DEVICE. INSTEAD INSTALL ONTO A DESKTOP AND ACCESS THE PRODUCT VIA YOUR LAPTOP - FROM ANYWHERE

HelpYou will find a help button next to the logout button, use it but don't be shy. If you need a little help just give us a ring, we can be viewing your screen within 2 minutes and walking you through any feature. We do offer free support but weDO NOT cover basics like how to add a contact or create a Matter. That should be pretty clear, but just in case, select New under the Contact menu.

Installation Pay attention to what the installer is telling you and write down the user name and passwords. Do not call support or sales and ask for your passwords. No license will be granted. We only help those who help themselves. When the login screen appears in your browser BOOKMARK IT. These simple steps will insure a quick 5 minute no hassle install. To uninstall run the ./ un installer located in the ./ install folder. DO NOT delete the folder or use the Windows remove program options as this will not remove the application completely, only your data.

Registration Be patient. You will be asked to register once you login. Please wait for a license to arrive via Email. Each registration and license file combination is unique to each install. If you reinstall or move ./ to another machine you will get a license error since HoduiniESQ binds itself to the phisycal harware. In this case you will have to re register. The old license will no longer work.

Browser Zoom Feature You can not use your browser's zoom feature. If edit areas look out of place or their size is off then reset your browser's zoom back to 100%. If the installer does not display all the fields (e.g. it reports that passwords are not the same but there is only one field being displayed) it is because your fonts are not set to 100% but most likely set to 125% or greater. You can resolve this issue if you reset your overall font size back to its defult value of 100%. This can be done via display settings under fonts.

Installing Upgrades

You must have 1.7g or better in order to upgrade.

1. Install the upgrade (skip this step if you have a SaaS account)
2. Clear your browser's cache
3. Load the ./ login page and login

Wait for the update to complete before having your staff login. Remember, they will have to clear their browser's cache before logging in.

The login screen should display the new version number.

Integration Plugins

	Outlook Manage your Email, Calendar and Contacts from within Outlook This plug-in creates a ./ menu in the Microsoft Outlook ribbon. Synchronizes and links Email, Events and Contacts. It can also automatically create billable events. BenefitsBill as you work, manage email, events/calendar and contacts from Outlook. Auto synchronizes your Calendar and Contacts. Linking email to a matter full text indexes your email and any attachments and places the email into a Matter folder in Outlook. Email is listed under the associated Matter's documents tab. Email is accessible to anyone using Houdini, with or without Outlook installed. You can now use email templates created in ./ from within Outlook. No limitation on the number of users. This is the most complete native Outlook add-in the industry, bar none. Does not rely on a third party program to sync. This will enable ./ to automatically post invoices, payments, deposits and all Trust journal entries effortlessly from within ./. No complex QuickBooks setup or DATA EXPORTING required. Ledger and journal entries are automatically posted to their associated Client/Matter in QuickBooks including all Trust journal entries.
